  • Peggy L. Power, DVM, ABVP


    Dr. Peggy Power is a 1982 graduate of Washington State University. She has owned Columbia Veterinary Hospital since 1990. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. Dr. Power has two sons, one who graduated in accounting from the University of Washington and the other who is studying at the University of San Diego. She and her husband Glen have a pet family of Nichi, a very sweet Akita and Ginger, the "little sister" strawberry blond Cockapoo. She is also a Master Gardener and relaxes by puttering in her yard. Peggy and Glenn enjoy photography and travel.

  • Virginia Wright, DVM


    Dr. Virginia Wright is a 1992 graduate of Louisiana State University. She has been an associate with Columbia Veterinary Hospital since 1992. She and her daughter, Sarah are the proud owners of two sweet American Pit Bulls Odin and Gia, and six cats. Dr.Wright is an avid sports fan.

  • Stacey Rutledge, DVM


    Dr. Stacey Rutledge received her Bachelors degree from Central Washington University in 2010. She then attended Washington State University for veterinary medicine and graduated in 2014 with her DVM. After being away from home for eight years, Stacey decided it was time to bring her husband and two dogs back to the South end where she grew up. She found us here at Columbia Veterinary Hospital right out of veterinary school and loves the family atmosphere we all share. 

    Stacey and her husband recently had a beautiful baby girl named Clarity Rain who is their pride and joy. Their family enjoys spending time fishing, four-wheeling, camping, boating, and spending time outdoors with their two dogs, Chewy the Chihuahua, and Charlee the Yellow Labrador. They also have Basil the Bunny, PeeWee the Turtle, and 8 chickens that all make the big family complete.

  • Dave Reisen, DVM


    Dave received his Bachelor's degree from Purdue University before going on to receive his DVM  from the University of Missouri in 2015. He is originally from the Chicago area and moved out to Washington in 2015 shortly after graduating from veterinary school. 

    In his free time, Dave enjoys traveling, hiking and playing music.

  • Michelle

    Office Manager, LVT

    Michelle has been in the veterinary field since 1990 and attended MCC in Michigan for fine arts as well as veterinary technology. Michelle loves the "business side" of veterinary medicine and is currently studying for her business degree at Olympic College and working toward her CVPM Certification.  

    Michelle's interests are in feline medicine/behavior, hospice and palliative care and she is affectionately called a "kitty whisper" because she has spent the better part of her career in feline only practices. 

    She currently lives in Allyn with her husband, 3 crazy cats and lovable dog Buster. There she enjoys her passions for pottery, gardening/beekeeping, and camping in the great outdoors.

  • Danielle

    Head Receptionist

    Danielle is a recent graduate from the University of Washington. She previously worked in the veterinary field and joined us in August of 2014. 

    She has two kitties, a Siamese named Hope and a humane society rescue, Aspen. She is an avid paleontologist, geologist, baker, family genealogist, and musician.

  • Kate, LVT

    Veterinary Nurse, Licensed Veterinary Technician

    Kate graduated from the University of Washington, Tacoma in 2013. Kate worked as a Certified Dog Trainer before attending Pierce College, where she earned a degree in Veterinary Technology (2016). She was selected for an externship at PAWS in Lynwood, WA. where she worked on raptors, a variety of water fowl & other native species.

    Upon the completion of her Vet Tech degree, she traveled to Namibia, Africa where she volunteered at the Cheetah Conservation Fund. There, she helped vaccinate over 200 goats and sheep and assisted during wellness exams on wild cheetahs. She worked at a 24 hour Animal Emergency Clinic in Tacoma prior to joining the Staff at Columbia Vet.

  • Bonnie

    Veterinary Nurse

    Bonnie has been in the veterinary field for 15 years, with a primary background  in emergency medicine. She is from West Seattle and currently lives in Gig Harbor with her husband Chris, Dachshund, Delsey, and her three cats.

  • Neenah

    Veterinary Nurse

    Neenah recently graduated from Pima Medical Institute with a degree in Veterinary Technology. She owns a rescue border collie named Olaf, a rescue Shepherd named Sven, and a Thoroughbred named Lucas.

    In her spare time, Neenah likes to hunt, fish , hike and is a semi- professional  Drag Racer which takes her all over the Pacific Northwest.

  • Emily

    Veterinary Nurse

    Emily started with us in January of 2018 after relocating to WA in October of 2017 in search of a new life change, adventure and exploration opportunities.

    She started her career in high school doing and internship in 1990-2000. From there she married her 6th grade sweetheart and went to college. She began working for a dental veterinary specialist  has spent time also working for a spay and neuter clinic and ER/ICU specialty hospital. 

    In her spare time Emily has actively volunteered for group such as Susan G. Komen, Bright Pink, Dirty Girl Mud Race,, Diva Marathon, and the Rambling Rose Marathon and coached sports for the YMCA. She is a member of Peta, American Heart Society, Concerned Bikers Association and Moose Lodge. 

    Emily also loves taking Nature photography, matting and framing them. She also plays the Trumpet and is currently teaching her daughter the violin and  currently has one crazy cat and one German Shepard.

    Veterinary Nurse Assistant 

    I recently graduated from Washington State University with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. I own two boxers named Dallas and Junior, a black mouth cur named Nala, and two domestic short hairs named Middy and Gracie. In my spare time, I enjoy working on puzzles, taking photographs, and watching Disney movies.
